Water scarcity is requiring innovation in the agriculture world, and the dairy industry is moving right along with it.
“The industry has been extremely proactive on helping to conserve water and using water more efficiently,” said Joe Osterkamp, board chairman of the Texas Association of Dairymen.
Water was a major topic in the High Plains Dairy Conference, held Wednesday, March 5, and today, March 6, at the Overton Hotel.
While Texas’ water shortage does not seem to be improving, dairy representatives are finding new solutions to do more with less.
