Jesse Johns scored a game-high 27 points but the Estacado boys lost a non-district game to Dallas Lincoln, 77-65, on Saturday night.
Johns, who made six 3-pointers, scored 11 points in the opening quarter as Estacado hung around before the visitors opened up a 43-32 advantage at halftime.
The Matadors (4-11) cut the lead to single digits, but Lincoln capitalized on Estacado miscues to win comfortably.
Small forward Malik Woodruff chipped in 15 points, as the Matadors got most of their offensive production on jump shots.
Derrick Neal led a balanced Lincoln attack with 18 points, one of four Tigers in double digits.
Emanuel Porter scored 14, Eric Neal scored 13 and Mark Johnson chipped in 11.
Estacado’s next game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Wichita Falls Hershey in Wichita Falls.
