The Lady Pirates’ Brittney Bednarz missed a jumper in the lane at the buzzer that would have given Cooper the win.
The win moves Shallowater (24-5, 7-2) one game out of first place in District 2-3A. Cooper holds the top spot at 25-6 overall and 8-1 i n district.
Cooper’s Claire Shaver forced overtime by knocking down a pair of free throws with 10 seconds to go in the fourth quarter.
Pounds finished with a team-high 15 pounds. Bednarz led the Lady Pirates with 17.
