DIMMITT — Rebekah Jones led three Fillies in double figures with 16 points, and No. 10 Shallowater smothered Dalhart with its press for three quarters en route to a 71-23 rout of the Lady Wolves in a Class 3A bi-district playoff game Monday at Dimmitt High School.

Shallowater (27-4) outscored Dalhart (11-16) 58-11 through the first three quarters. The Fillies will now face Clint (17-13) in an area round game on Friday at 6 p.m. at Kermit High School.

“The kids came out great,” Shallowater coach Chuck Darden said. “The first half our press was just fantastic. Our pressure defense just caused a ton of havoc. The kids were really read to play after that loss to Levelland (last Tuesday). I had a good feeling they were going to be ready.”

Sharon Harkey added 14 points for the Fillies and Jaycie Willer chipped in 10.

Abbie Banks led Dalhart with 12 points.
